Adirondack Sniffari is an outdoor adventure camp for dogs with a free pick up and drop off service! No kennels or crowded facilities. Camp allows your dog to be breed fulfilled in a safe, structured environment surrounded by a carefully curated group of pups. Dogs were born to pack walk!

This program is designed for well-socialized, friendly dogs to play and learn while exercising their bodies and their minds. Did you know that 20 minutes of sniff work is equal to about an hour of walking in terms of enrichment for your dog?​

​

Our Camp Counselors teach their behavioral skills in high distractions on long lines and off-leash (dog dependent). Much smaller pack sizes than a traditional dog daycare means more comfortable and happy dogs. This makes dog camp great for adventurous dogs who love to run and play outside but also good for dogs who find traditional dog daycare setting to be too overwhelming.

 

We want our campers to feel safe putting their best paw forward at camp, at home and in the community. Our Camp Counselors are a constant source of support and positive reinforcement for our campers to succeed.

We have a very thorough evaluation process with clear criteria for whether or not your dog is eligible for camp. This process includes an application questionnaire, in-person evaluation, a 1 hour trial session and a 4 day probationary period. If your pup passes our criteria, they are welcome to officially join camp!

Each camp day is $50. We have discounts for multiple days per week and multi-camper households.

  At camp, your dog will learn:

• How to fluidly move from prey drive (play & hunting) to social drive (listening to their camp counselor and functioning as a pack)

• How to control their emotional state through being rewarded for relaxation (utilizing classical and operant conditioning)

• Proper dog to dog socialization behaviors

• Trail etiquette that will translate to your own adventures

• Vehicle etiquette 

• Solidifying their recall

• Impulse control

• Confidence

We will pick up your dog for camp from your home or place of business and drop them back off while teaching them proper car etiquette along the way.

While you’re busy at work, your dog will be living its best life outdoors! They will be getting plenty of exercise, enhancing their skills and engaging in social activity. After a day of playing with other campers, your dog will be ready to relax with you at home.

With a pack that frequently explores on long lines and off-leash, we work to sharpen your dog's recall skills which can be applied to adventures with you outside of dog camp.

Woof Pack Badges:

Our Woof Pack badges are along the lines of scout merit badges. Badges are not a source of competition but rather they are meant as a fun way to highlight the strength and successes of individual campers. If your dog earns a badge, we will add it to their official Adirondack Sniffari bandana.
